CSS has a beautiful song out,entitled ehemm..'beautiful song'.it is absolutely wonderful to blast over your car radio,on a long trip home with your best girlfriends,hands out of the window,puffing on virginia slims.

i am LOVING their new direction,less trashy,more subdued.cant wait to hear more from them.

once in awhile, a video for a song comes out that makes u dream and imagine 'fuck this,living in the city,going to a 9-5 job.i am gonna move out to Mexico and deflower a barmaid in a bar that has a really hot band with a lead singer with the most PERFECT mustache (the killers' when you were young)!or imagine that it's the end of the world,live like a hobo and drive around the country, covered in dirt with nothing but a broken guitar in the boot (red hot chilli peppers' scar tissue), while looking extemely buff and fit doing it!

anbd now i present to u. MGMT's single, 'electric feel'. MGMT are two really hot and suspiciously pre-pubescent looking boys who are soooo so beautiful. they sing in high falsettos, and in this video they are having a rave in a forest,everyone is covered in dirt and beautiful amazonian women are grinding up against them.

great single coming from their shit-cun album Oracular Spectacular. very trippy-folksy-electro-weird..kinda like how davendra banhart would sound like if u locked him up in a room with keyboards and magic mushrooms for a week and left him with a tape recorder.

henrik has got a beautiful voice and is so wonderful to curl up in bed and fall asleep listening to.

sometimes i wonder and think about this movie idea a friend told me about. his protagonist would have this dilemma between choosing between the real world that is so full of hate and anger,and the beautiful life he carves out in his dreams.I've been sleeping a lot lately and while i have been getting some pretty bizarre dreams, my problem/distraction lies in me just lying down under layers and layers of blankets, and hugging a pillow and wishing that it was my boyfriend next to me instead of an empty bed.

i miss him.i need his smell and the feel of his hand in mine.

in the meantime i sleep,and i wish and i dream.

meet alex, or at least, alex's torso and aching back because i insisted on a piggyback ride after we ate at a formal dinner.

after 6 years of dating, alex has now decided to listen to my music and stop listening to crap on the radio. and the first thing he says after hearing a few tracks off my ipod during a trip was "hey this is actually good".

no fuckin duhh, of course its actually good. your girlfriend generally has good taste, thats why im dating you!!!!!!!

now you just need to shut up and listen to me when i say you will look good in a mullet.

Jeff Buckley- Hallewhoo?

Was at work, listening to Jeff Buckley’s ‘Hallelujah’. Now Jeff Buckley is one of the many artists everyone seems to love but whose genius I just don’t seem to get . So anyways, I made it a mission this week to try and see what all the fuss about him is about. And while I was enjoying this song because its got a very soft, low key heartfelt vibe to it, at 5.58 he suddenly yells out a very loud, emotional HALLELUJAH!!! and starts going all ballistic and weird.

Ya ampun. Terkejut gila. Did NOT see that coming. Now I have spilt coffee all over my baju kurung, Fuckshitkimak.

the grates new album 'teeth lost hearts won'

yeah so okay.back when i first heard the grates i thought they were shite coz they sounded like sugarhigh prepubescent little girly girls trying to sound like the yeah yeah yeahs (greatest band of all time, i would die for u karen o!). then i went to see them at spleandour in the grass 06, and was completely and utterly blown away by their energy and rah-rah funky fun. so okay. so after spleandour, i bought theif first album 'gravity wont get you high' and then we were cool with each other (cue: no more dissing them to the high heavens calling them rip offs when i was drunk off my face watching rage on late nite tv).

2 years later the inevitable has to happen: the second album from them comes out entitled a cute 'teeth lost, hearts won'. and do i like it?

weellll......

i dunno lah.i mean, its a great, solid album, and their opening track 'burn bridges' is one of the most fun singles i've heard over this year. but the grates was about FUN, something i dont always get in this album. and while they have a lot of poignant moments here and sound much more grown up with more thoughtful lyrics and more musical layers, i still click the 'next' button on my ipod quite a lot.

in an interview, patience did say that it was a much harder process making this second album compared to the first, trying to pick and choose the right tracks coz everyone loved their previous effort (even the title track didnt make it in). but life is like that, isnt it?u do something great and fantabulous, and society jusdges u with higher and higher standards that almost set u up to fail.

see?this is why im mediocre and happy.
